Engine 102

Forest Bend's first Fire Engine.

The Forest Bend Volunteer Fire Department was organized under the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act in 1973.  The original by-laws of the department were adopted and placed in affect April 2, 1973.  For over 20 years this Forest Bend Fire Department has been a valuable asset not only to the residents of Heritage Park but also to the businesses within our district.  Many homes and lives have been saved by volunteers committed to you, the people of District 2, Harris County.

The purposes for which  the corporation was organized are:  the preservation and protection of life and property from, and/or during such fires, storms, accidents, and other emergencies as may arise within areas of Unincorporated Harris County for which we have contractual agreements; the training of members in the methods of fighting fires; and the education of the citizens of such contracted areas in the means and methods of prevention of fires and the removal of fire hazards.
